Do you remember back in childhood
How we loved the first of May
When we left our flower-filled baskets
On doorsteps, then ran away?
Do you remember how the gayest basket
Was for the one we loved the best.
And in it went the blossoms
That were fairer than the rest;
Such a beautiful and gracious custom
Somehow lost along the way.
But its memories come surging
As we welcome in the May.

Hello dear.... oh my... it is almost May isn't it!!!! I need to finish my visiting teaching... oh dear... I love visiting my 5 but I didn't reach 2 of them because we were in Utah for so long.
Happy May to you.
What a pretty poem. I think May is my favorite month of the year. Green and snow-capped, and the perfect temperature!
Wish we could have seen you on Saturday. Lydia says a big "Thank you!" for her Brithday Present which she will use when we go to "Build a Bear" this weekend!
